There are approximately 17,000 different comics under this offer so I hope that there is something for everyone, and I think that it's a great way to start off a new series, or fill a lot of gaps in a series you already collect, or even a great way to build a custom made starter pack for someone for a Christmas Present ! (Is it ok to talk about Christmas in October?)

I'm expecting this offer to catch people's imagination and so I do expect to be busy for the first week of the offer. Please forgive me if you buy some comics and it takes a little longer than usual to get your delivery

A couple of points I need to mention about the offer:

• As this offer is so good already, I have had to suspend Discount Codewords for the duration of the offer. Apologies for this but the discount codewords would make the comics ridiculously cheap. Discount Codewords will be re-instated after the offer has finished
• I have also had to suspend free postage on orders over £30 for the same reason, sorry !
• You CAN use your Loyalty Points on the £1 Offer. You earned them, you can spend them how you like !
• Because I am expecting this to be quite a crazy month, I do expect there to be one or two hiccups along the way with occasional "Out of Stock" items or misgraded items. In the event of any problem, I will simply put a £1 coin in with your order for every mishap, to immediately refund you if anything goes wrong. If you are not happy with anything about your order, just get in touch, you know I will sort it out !

Also, I'd like to offer some advice on how to get the best value for money from the postage charge

My Postage Rates are as follows:

1 or 2 Comics: £4.00
3 to 10 comics: £6.00
11 to 20 comics: £8.00
21 to 50 comics: £14.50
51 to 100 comics: £19.50
Every additional 50 comics is an extra £5

Postage rates cover my postage costs (including packing materials like the specialist comic boxes which I use). To get the best value from the delivery charge, I recommend that you try to fill up the delivery to the top end of the range. For example, if you buy 21 comics, you will pay the same delivery charge as if you buy 50 comics, but if you buy 50 comics, the delivery charge per comic is considerably less. So by filling up the postage bracket, you get better value for money. This is just my advice, and you can take it or leave it as you wish !

THE NEWSLETTER !

So onto the Newsletter piece !

Well a lot has happened since I last wrote to you about 6 months ago.

CGC COMICS

One of my largest pieces of news is that I now offer a great selection of CGC Comics on the shop .. and you can find them at this link:

It's been a real battle to get these on sale and I apologise that it has taken so long. I sent the original batch to CGC way back in about April, which was terrible timing because at that time CGC had just introduced their new holder, and all comics in the first month or so came back with a horrible wavy defect caused by the plastic inner not being thick enough. So the entire batch had to go back to CGC for them to fix this defect, and I have to say, respect to them, because they paid for the shipping both ways and fixed the problem.

So finally I got the whole batch back in about July. While I was messing about with this first batch of 25 comics, I decided to get another 25 comics CGC'd and so I sent them off, but CGC were snowed under with other orders and took about 4 months to get them back to me ! Finally they arrived a couple of weeks ago, and today here they are on the shop ... HURRAY !


RE-GRADING

I have also spent a lot of time in the last six months re-grading a lot of comics. To date, all Marvel Comics with a price of £3.95 or more have been checked and re-graded. I found more errors in my grading than I had hoped for, and so I apologise for this. The strictness of my grading has improved a lot over my first two years as an online comic seller. What I am in the middle of right now is the same re-grading exercise for all DC Comics priced at £3.95 or more. It will take a couple of months, but I will get there ! In the meantime, if you want me to Pre-Check any comics before you place your order, please just email me with your selection and I will Pre-Check them for you

It's also worth noting that during my re-grading exercise I noticed that quite a few comics had the wrong photo ... so all I can say about this is that, until such time as I have fixed all the rogue photos as well, please feel free to ask if you think a photo clearly does not match the comic on sale

The regrading and rogue photos affect no more than 10% of comics, so shop with confidence, and please do feel secure in the knowledge that I will always fix any problems you may have with your order  in the rare event that a problem occurs

EBAY

I have also spent a lot of time developing my eBay store over the past few months. During the £1 offer period, my more expensive comics are only on sale at eBay. After the £1 period ends, all comics will once again be on sale at both eBay and my website. I always prefer people to shop through my website as then I do not have to pay eBay 8% commission, and that is why the 10% Loyalty Points Scheme exists on the shop. Effectively I am giving YOU the commission I would have had to pay to eBay !

There are a few fun items on sale at eBay which are not on sale at my internet shop, such as Hotwheels Toy Cars, Dinosaur Toys, Superhero related Stationery Sets, Superhero related Birthday Cards, and Superhero related niknaks like Keyrings. Also, I will soon be adding Superhero Wrapping Paper to eBay and to the internet site ... so if you want to send a superhero related present this Christmas, you know where to find some cool wrapping paper !

If you do shop on eBay, please can I ask you to be so kind as to reward me with some Feedback if you think I deserve it !

THE NEXT SIX MONTHS

In the next six months I will be adding new stock and re-grading the DC Comics and Independent Comics. If the existing CGC Comics sell well I will also be sending more batches off to the good old U S of A to give you a broad selection to keep you happy !
